How to connect
The API’s base address and a key, if it needs one. Keep the API docs at hand.
- Find the base address in the API docs, for example https://api.example.com/v1. The AI can only call addresses below it.
- Create an API key in the service’s settings (look for API, Developers or Integrations).
- Pick how the docs say to send the key (most APIs use a Bearer token) and paste the key into the form.
- After connecting, describe the main endpoints to the AI in the chat, or paste a link to the docs.
- Prefer a read-only key. Write requests (POST, PUT, DELETE) follow your confirmation rules.
Try asking
- Get /orders?status=open and list order numbers with totals.
- Check the API status endpoint and tell me if anything is down.
- Create a customer “ACME Ltd” through the API. Show me the request first.
Several accounts? Connect each one and give it a name, for example Work and Personal.
