Frequently asked questions
Short answers about Manyplug, MCP and connecting your services to AI assistants.
Basics
What is Manyplug?
Manyplug is a hosted MCP hub: one MCP server address that connects AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor to your services and accounts, for example several Gmail inboxes, Slack, Notion, GitHub and Google Calendar. Risky actions wait for your approval, and keys are encrypted per account.
What is MCP and why does my AI need it?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools: read mail, create tasks, look into a calendar. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and many others support it. Manyplug is one MCP server that gives the AI all your services at once.
Why not connect each service to the AI directly?
Each AI app would need its own setup, many services have no MCP server at all, and most of them allow one account only. With Manyplug you connect a service once, keep several accounts, and every AI client gets the same tools and the same rules.
Which AI apps work with Manyplug?
Any app that supports remote MCP servers: Claude (web, desktop, mobile), ChatGPT in developer mode, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf and others. Every app uses the same address.
Which services can I connect?
Built in today: Airtable, Asana, Bitbucket, Brevo, Cal.com, Calendly, ClickUp, Cloudflare, Confluence, Email (IMAP/SMTP), Figma, Freshdesk, GitHub, GitLab, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets, HTTP API, HubSpot, Intercom, Jira, Linear, Mailchimp, monday.com, Notion, Pipedrive, Sentry, Slack, Stripe, Telegram, Todoist, Trello, Typeform, Vercel, Webflow, WhatsApp, WordPress, and Zendesk. Any IMAP mailbox, any remote MCP server and any REST API can be added too.
Setup
Do I need to install anything?
No. Manyplug runs in the cloud. You sign in on the website, connect services, and paste one address into your AI app.
Can I set it up from the chat?
Yes. Ask the AI to connect a service, rename an account or change when it asks you first. Keys never go through the chat: the AI gives you a link to Manyplug’s own page. Anything that loosens your protection waits for your OK.
Is there a limit on accounts per service?
No. Within your plan’s total, all accounts can be of the same service, for example ten Gmail inboxes.
Can I connect a service that is not on the list?
Yes. Any mailbox connects over IMAP, any MCP server by its address, and any REST API by its address and key. Tell us which service you want built in and we will prioritise it.
Security and privacy
Where are my passwords and tokens stored?
In the hub’s database, encrypted with a separate key per account. The AI only sees tool results, never keys. You can disconnect any account at any moment, and its credentials are deleted.
What if an email tells the AI to do something?
Text from emails, messages and web pages reaches the AI marked as untrusted data, with an instruction never to follow it. Risky actions still wait for your approval, so a hidden instruction cannot send mail on its own.
How do I disconnect an AI app?
In the dashboard under AI apps, revoke its access: the app loses it at once. You can also limit an app to some accounts or to reading only.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete account. Accounts, keys, tokens and history are removed right away. You can also disconnect separate services or AI apps.
Pricing and limits
What counts as an action?
One call of a service tool by the AI: a search, reading an email, creating a task. “Find the ACME invoice and send it to Alex” takes about three. Hub housekeeping (listing accounts, connecting a new one) is free.
What happens when I run out of actions?
The AI gets a polite message that the monthly limit is reached and nothing breaks. Your accounts and settings stay. The counter resets on the 1st of the month, or you can switch to a bigger plan.
When do limits reset?
Monthly limits reset on the 1st day of each month (UTC). The account limit is not periodic.
Can I change the plan later?
Yes, at any time. A bigger plan applies right away; when you go smaller, extra accounts are kept but you cannot add new ones.
