Connect Cursor to your services

Cursor supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. Click “Add to Cursor” or paste one line of config into mcp.json, sign in to Manyplug, and the Cursor agent can work with your GitHub, Linear, Jira, Notion and mail accounts.

What you need

  • Cursor 1.0 or later.
  • A Manyplug account (free, sign in with Google).

Steps

  1. Click “Add to Cursor” or paste the config into ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

    Add to Cursor

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "manyplug": {
          "url": "https://manyplug.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. In Cursor Settings → MCP click “Login” next to manyplug and sign in.

Check that it works

In a new chat, ask Cursor: “Which accounts can you use in Manyplug?” It should name the accounts you connected.

If something goes wrong

The “Add to Cursor” button does nothing
The browser needs permission to open Cursor. Or paste the config into ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project) yourself.
manyplug stays red or asks to log in
Open Cursor Settings, find manyplug in the MCP section and click Login, then allow access in the browser.

Questions

Does Cursor count Manyplug tools against its tool limit?
Manyplug keeps the list short: with many services the AI first gets a compact catalogue and asks for details only when needed, so one server does not crowd out others.
Is it free to connect Cursor to Manyplug?
Yes. New workspaces get 14 days of Pro free, then the free plan keeps going with 150 actions a month and up to 3 connected accounts. No card needed. Paid plans start at $5 a month.
Can Cursor use several accounts of the same service?
Yes. Connect each account under its own name, for example Work and Personal. Cursor can use one of them or search all of them at once.
Can Cursor send or delete things without asking me?
Not by default. Risky actions such as sending email or deleting wait for your approval in Manyplug. You can tighten or loosen this per account and per AI app, and loosening always needs your OK.
Does Cursor see my passwords or API keys?
No. Keys are entered on Manyplug’s own pages, stored encrypted with a separate key per account, and the AI only receives tool results.
