Connect ChatGPT to your services
ChatGPT connects to MCP servers as apps in developer mode. Turn developer mode on, create an app with the Manyplug address and OAuth, and ChatGPT can search, read and act in every account you connect in Manyplug.
What you need
- ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on chatgpt.com in a browser (the app is created on the web).
- In Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces an admin may need to allow developer mode first.
- A Manyplug account (free, sign in with Google).
Steps
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
- Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
- Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.
Check that it works
In a new chat, ask ChatGPT: “Which accounts can you use in Manyplug?” It should name the accounts you connected.
If something goes wrong
There is no Create button in Apps & Connectors
Developer mode is off: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → Developer mode. In a company workspace ask the admin to allow it.
ChatGPT does not call Manyplug
Developer-mode apps are picked per chat: click “+” next to the message box, choose More and select Manyplug. Naming the service in the request (“in my Gmail…”) helps too.
Sign-in fails while creating the app
Choose OAuth as the authentication and use the address exactly as Manyplug shows it, ending in /mcp. Make sure pop-ups are allowed for chatgpt.com.

Questions
Can ChatGPT send email or messages through Manyplug?
Yes, but by default sending, deleting and other risky actions wait for your approval in Manyplug before they run, and each account’s rules decide what ChatGPT may do at all.
Does it work in the ChatGPT mobile app?
The app is created on chatgpt.com in a browser. Availability of developer-mode apps in the mobile apps depends on OpenAI’s rollout; the web version always works.
Is it free to connect ChatGPT to Manyplug?
Yes. New workspaces get 14 days of Pro free, then the free plan keeps going with 150 actions a month and up to 3 connected accounts. No card needed. Paid plans start at $5 a month.
Can ChatGPT use several accounts of the same service?
Yes. Connect each account under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or search all of them at once.
Can ChatGPT send or delete things without asking me?
Not by default. Risky actions such as sending email or deleting wait for your approval in Manyplug. You can tighten or loosen this per account and per AI app, and loosening always needs your OK.
Does ChatGPT see my passwords or API keys?
No. Keys are entered on Manyplug’s own pages, stored encrypted with a separate key per account, and the AI only receives tool results.
Checked against the ChatGPT documentation on November 4, 2026.
