Connect Stripe to ChatGPT

To use Stripe in ChatGPT, connect your Stripe account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 6 Stripe tools, for example: “Balance”, “Search customers”, and “Search payments”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

1. Connect Stripe in Manyplug

Click “Connect Stripe” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

A restricted API key from your Stripe dashboard. Takes about two minutes.

  1. Open Developers → API keys in the Stripe dashboard.Open Stripe API keys
  2. Click Create restricted key and name it Manyplug.
  3. Set Read for Balance, Customers, PaymentIntents, Invoices and Subscriptions. Set Refunds to Write only if the AI may refund payments.
  4. Click Create key, copy it (rk_live_…) and paste it into the form.
  • Want to try it safely first? Use a test-mode key (rk_test_…).
  • Refunds wait for your confirmation by default (see Rules).

2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
  3. Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
  4. Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

3. Ask ChatGPT

  • How much did we take in this week, by currency?
  • Find payments from anna@example.com and show their status.
  • Which subscriptions were cancelled this month?
  • Refund half of the last payment from ACME. Ask me before doing it.

Questions

Can I connect two Stripe accounts to ChatGPT?
Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.
Will ChatGPT change anything in Stripe without asking?
By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Refund a payment”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.
Do I need an official Stripe MCP server for this?
No. Manyplug connects to Stripe itself with a key or app password you paste into its form, and gives ChatGPT the tools through one MCP address, together with your other services.
Is it free to connect ChatGPT to Manyplug?
