Connect Asana to ChatGPT

To use Asana in ChatGPT, connect your Asana account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 7 Asana tools, for example: “Find tasks”, “Get a task”, and “List projects”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

Connect Asana Free plan, no card

1. Connect Asana in Manyplug

Click “Connect Asana” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

An Asana personal access token. Takes about a minute.

Open the Asana developer console and click Create new token.Open the Asana developer console
Name it Manyplug, accept the terms and click Create token.
Copy the token (Asana shows it only once) and paste it into the form.

The token acts as you in all your workspaces. You can revoke it in the same place.

2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

Can I connect two Asana accounts to ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.

Will ChatGPT change anything in Asana without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Delete a task”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Asana MCP server for this?
