Connect Asana to Claude

To use Asana in Claude, connect your Asana account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to Claude once. Claude then gets 7 Asana tools, for example: “Find tasks”, “Get a task”, and “List projects”. It takes about 4 minutes and works on the free plan.

Connect Asana Free plan, no card

1. Connect Asana in Manyplug

Click “Connect Asana” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

An Asana personal access token. Takes about a minute.

Open the Asana developer console and click Create new token.Open the Asana developer console
Name it Manyplug, accept the terms and click Create token.
Copy the token (Asana shows it only once) and paste it into the form.

The token acts as you in all your workspaces. You can revoke it in the same place.

2. Add Manyplug to Claude

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile. The free plan allows one custom connector, and Manyplug is one connector for all your services.

Open Customize → Connectors (in older versions: Settings → Connectors).
Click “+ Add” → “Add custom connector”, name it Manyplug, paste the URL and click Continue.
Keep the suggested sign-in settings and click Add, then Connect: Manyplug opens — sign in and allow access.
In a chat, click “+” → Connectors, turn Manyplug on and ask: “Connect my email”.

Can I connect two Asana accounts to Claude?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. Claude can use one of them or all at once.

Will Claude change anything in Asana without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Delete a task”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Asana MCP server for this?
