Connect Slack to Claude

To use Slack in Claude, connect your Slack account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to Claude once. Claude then gets 5 Slack tools, for example: “Search messages”, “List channels”, and “Read a channel”. It takes about 4 minutes and works on the free plan.

Click “Connect Slack” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

Open Customize → Connectors (in older versions: Settings → Connectors).
Click “+ Add” → “Add custom connector”, name it Manyplug, paste the URL and click Continue.
Keep the suggested sign-in settings and click Add, then Connect: Manyplug opens — sign in and allow access.
In a chat, click “+” → Connectors, turn Manyplug on and ask: “Connect my email”.

Can I connect two Slack accounts to Claude?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. Claude can use one of them or all at once.

Will Claude change anything in Slack without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Send a message”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Slack MCP server for this?
