Connect Confluence to Claude
To use Confluence in Claude, connect your Confluence account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to Claude once. Claude then gets 6 Confluence tools, for example: “Search”, “Get a page”, and “List spaces”. It takes about 4 minutes and works on the free plan.

1. Connect Confluence in Manyplug
Click “Connect Confluence” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:
Your Atlassian site, email and an API token. Takes about two minutes. The Jira token works too.
- Open your Atlassian API tokens page and click Create API token (the one without scopes).Open Atlassian API tokens
- Name it Manyplug, pick an expiry date and click Create.
- Copy the token: Atlassian shows it only once.
- In the form, enter your site name (acme for acme.atlassian.net), your Atlassian email and the token.
- The AI sees in Confluence what you see. To cut access, revoke the token on the same page.
2. Add Manyplug to Claude
claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile. The free plan allows one custom connector, and Manyplug is one connector for all your services.
- Open Customize → Connectors (in older versions: Settings → Connectors).
- Click “+ Add” → “Add custom connector”, name it Manyplug, paste the URL and click Continue.
- Keep the suggested sign-in settings and click Add, then Connect: Manyplug opens — sign in and allow access.
- In a chat, click “+” → Connectors, turn Manyplug on and ask: “Connect my email”.
3. Ask Claude
- Find how our new-hire onboarding works in Confluence.
- Summarize the “Release 3.0 plan” page.
- Create a page “Retro notes” in the ENG space with what we discussed.

Can I connect two Confluence accounts to Claude?
Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. Claude can use one of them or all at once.
Will Claude change anything in Confluence without asking?
Changes follow your rules: you can make every change in Confluence wait for your approval, or let Claude only read.
Do I need an official Confluence MCP server for this?
