Connect Slack to ChatGPT

To use Slack in ChatGPT, connect your Slack account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 5 Slack tools, for example: “Search messages”, “List channels”, and “Read a channel”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

Can I connect two Slack accounts to ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.

Will ChatGPT change anything in Slack without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Send a message”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Slack MCP server for this?
