Connect Trello to ChatGPT

To use Trello in ChatGPT, connect your Trello account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 10 Trello tools, for example: “List boards”, “List lists”, and “List cards”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

Connect Trello Free plan, no card

1. Connect Trello in Manyplug

Click “Connect Trello” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

Open the Power-Ups admin and click New: Trello gives API keys to Power-Ups only.Open the Power-Ups admin
Fill in the form: name Manyplug, any workspace, your email. Leave Iframe connector URL empty and click Create.
On the API key tab, click Generate a new API key and copy the key into the form.
Click the Token link next to the key, click Allow and copy the token into the form.

The token opens all your boards. You can revoke it in Trello: Settings → Applications.

2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

Can I connect two Trello accounts to ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.

Will ChatGPT change anything in Trello without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Delete a card”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Trello MCP server for this?
