Connect Telegram to ChatGPT
To use Telegram in ChatGPT, connect your Telegram account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 7 Telegram tools, for example: “List chats”, “Search messages”, and “Read a chat”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

1. Connect Telegram in Manyplug
Click “Connect Telegram” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:
A bot token from @BotFather. Takes about two minutes.
- Open @BotFather in Telegram and send /newbot (or /mybots if you already have a bot).Open @BotFather
- Pick a name and a username. BotFather replies with a token like 123456:ABC-…
- Paste the token into the form. The hub checks it and starts receiving messages.
- A bot only sees chats where people wrote to it and cannot start a conversation.
- To let the bot read group messages, turn off Group Privacy for it in @BotFather.
- With Telegram Premium the bot can also handle your personal chats: Settings → Telegram Business → Chatbots, pick the bot and allow it to reply. Replies are sent as you.
2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT
Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
- Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
- Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.
3. Ask ChatGPT
- What did people write to the bot today?
- Find messages about delivery from this week.
- Tell Anna the invoice comes tonight.

Can I connect two Telegram accounts to ChatGPT?
Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.
Will ChatGPT change anything in Telegram without asking?
By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Send a message”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.
Do I need an official Telegram MCP server for this?
