Connect Gemini CLI to your services
Gemini CLI adds remote MCP servers with `gemini mcp add`. Add Manyplug over HTTP, sign in with /mcp auth, and Gemini can work with every account you connect in Manyplug.
What you need
- Gemini CLI installed.
- A Manyplug account (free, sign in with Google).
Steps
- Run the command.
gemini mcp add --transport http manyplug https://manyplug.com/mcp - In Gemini CLI type /mcp auth manyplug and sign in.
Check that it works
In a new chat, ask Gemini CLI: “Which accounts can you use in Manyplug?” It should name the accounts you connected.
If something goes wrong
The server works in one folder only
By default the command saves the server in the current project. Add -s user to save it in your user settings for every folder.
Tools fail with an authentication error
Type /mcp auth manyplug in Gemini CLI and sign in again. /mcp shows every server and its state.
Services Gemini CLI can use through Manyplug
Open a service for its tools and example requests.

Questions
Does this work with the Gemini app on the web?
This guide is for Gemini CLI. Any Gemini product that can add a remote MCP server by URL with OAuth can use the same Manyplug address.
Is it free to connect Gemini CLI to Manyplug?
Yes. New workspaces get 14 days of Pro free, then the free plan keeps going with 150 actions a month and up to 3 connected accounts. No card needed. Paid plans start at $5 a month.
Can Gemini CLI use several accounts of the same service?
Yes. Connect each account under its own name, for example Work and Personal. Gemini CLI can use one of them or search all of them at once.
Can Gemini CLI send or delete things without asking me?
Not by default. Risky actions such as sending email or deleting wait for your approval in Manyplug. You can tighten or loosen this per account and per AI app, and loosening always needs your OK.
Does Gemini CLI see my passwords or API keys?
No. Keys are entered on Manyplug’s own pages, stored encrypted with a separate key per account, and the AI only receives tool results.
Checked against the Gemini CLI documentation on November 4, 2026.
