Connect HTTP API to Claude Code

To use HTTP API in Claude Code, connect your HTTP API account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to Claude Code once. Claude Code then gets 2 HTTP API tools, for example: “GET request” and “Write request”. It takes about 3 minutes and works on the free plan.

1. Connect HTTP API in Manyplug

Click “Connect HTTP API” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

The API’s base address and a key, if it needs one. Keep the API docs at hand.

  1. Find the base address in the API docs, for example https://api.example.com/v1. The AI can only call addresses below it.
  2. Create an API key in the service’s settings (look for API, Developers or Integrations).
  3. Pick how the docs say to send the key (most APIs use a Bearer token) and paste the key into the form.
  4. After connecting, describe the main endpoints to the AI in the chat, or paste a link to the docs.
  • Prefer a read-only key. Write requests (POST, PUT, DELETE) follow your confirmation rules.

2. Add Manyplug to Claude Code

Terminal, VS Code and JetBrains.

  1. Run the command in a terminal.
    claude mcp add --transport http --scope user manyplug https://manyplug.com/mcp
  2. Start claude, type /mcp, pick manyplug and sign in in the browser.

3. Ask Claude Code

  • Get /orders?status=open and list order numbers with totals.
  • Check the API status endpoint and tell me if anything is down.
  • Create a customer “ACME Ltd” through the API. Show me the request first.

Can I connect two HTTP API accounts to Claude Code?
