Connect Twilio to ChatGPT

To use Twilio in ChatGPT, connect your Twilio account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 5 Twilio tools, for example: “Send a text”, “Messages”, and “Message”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

Connect Twilio Free plan, no card

1. Connect Twilio in Manyplug

Click “Connect Twilio” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

Your Account SID and Auth Token from the Twilio Console. Takes about a minute.

Open the Twilio Console: the Account Info box on the home page shows the Account SID and Auth Token.Open the Twilio Console
Copy the Account SID (AC…) into the first field.
Click Show next to Auth Token, copy it and paste it into the second field.

Messages go out only from your account’s numbers and only after you confirm.
A Twilio trial account can only text verified numbers.

2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.

Will ChatGPT change anything in Twilio without asking?

By default these actions wait for your approval before they run: “Send a text”. Other changes follow your rules, which you can make stricter per account.

Do I need an official Twilio MCP server for this?
