Connect Harvest to ChatGPT

To use Harvest in ChatGPT, connect your Harvest account in Manyplug and add Manyplug to ChatGPT once. ChatGPT then gets 7 Harvest tools, for example: “Time entries”, “Log time”, and “Update an entry”. It takes about 5 minutes and works on the free plan.

Connect Harvest Free plan, no card

1. Connect Harvest in Manyplug

Click “Connect Harvest” and paste the key or app password into Manyplug’s form:

Your Harvest personal access token and Account ID. Takes about a minute.

Open Harvest Developers → Personal access tokens and click Create new personal access token.Open Harvest tokens
Name it Manyplug and create it.
Copy Your Token and the Account ID from the token page into the form.

The token acts as you and sees the same projects and entries you do.

2. Add Manyplug to ChatGPT

Needs developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
Name: Manyplug, MCP server URL: your URL, authentication: OAuth. Confirm you trust the app.
Sign in to Manyplug and allow access. In a chat, pick Manyplug under “+” → More.

Can I connect two Harvest accounts to ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect each one in Manyplug under its own name, for example Work and Personal. ChatGPT can use one of them or all at once.

Will ChatGPT change anything in Harvest without asking?

Changes follow your rules: you can make every change in Harvest wait for your approval, or let ChatGPT only read.

Do I need an official Harvest MCP server for this?

No. Manyplug connects to Harvest itself with a key or app password you paste into its form, and gives ChatGPT the tools through one MCP address, together with your other services.
